(OCTOBER 18, 2007, PERRIS, CA) Three-time World of Outlaws champion Sammy
Swindell has been named to replace Indiana's Dickie Gaines in Larry Woodward's
#2H for the 12th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals, presented by Temecula valley
Pipe & Supply, at Perris Auto Speedway. The race will take place on November
1st, 2nd and 3rd. The November 3rd 40-lap main event will pay $30,000.00 to the
winner.
Swindell, who resides in Germantown, Tennessee, will be making his first
wingless appearance at The PAS and will be taking on the best non-wing drivers
in the nation in the three-day festival of dirt track action. Included among the
competition will be Swindell's 18 year old son Kevin.
Swindell, who will turn 52 one week before the Oval Nationals, won the World of
Outlaws championship in 1981, 1982 and 1997. He also has more than 250 World of
Outlaws victories to his credit and has won the prestigious Chili Bowl Midget
race four times. He scored his lone win in the Knoxville Nationals in 1983.

Lakeside, California's B&B Heavy Equipment has stepped on board and will pay
the $1,000.00 point bonus to the top 360 point scorer from Thursday and Friday
(combined). They are also paying $1,000.00 to the top point scorer overall from
the first two nights and will pay another $500.00 for a new track record set on
the weekend. In addition, the top finishing 360 on Saturday night will also
receive a $1,000.00 bonus.
The Oval Nationals will encompass six days of fun and racing in 2007. On Tuesday
afternoon, October 30th, the 2nd Annual ITI Performance Motorsports Oval
Nationals Golf Classic will take place at the Moreno Valley Ranch Golf Course
followed that evening by the tournament banquet. On Wednesday night October
31st, there will be a practice session open to all Oval Nationals entered cars
and it will be free for the fans in the grandstands. The first night of the
racing will be Thursday, November 1st and it will feature qualifying for all
cars followed by heats, semi mains and an A main. Friday November 2nd will
feature the same wild program as Thursday. During the daytime on Saturday,
November 5th, the Annual Pick-a-Part $1,000.00 to win Corn Hole (bean bag)
Tournament will be held. Saturday night will feature the main events including
the $30,000.00 to win A main. The week will conclude with the Cory Kruseman
Sprint Car Driving School on Sunday, November 6th.

Perris Auto Speedway is located on the freeway close Lake Perris Fairgrounds,
home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los Angeles
