Marysville CA - August 1, 2007 --- The Wingless Warriors of the Wingless Sprint Car Series will headline spectacular thunder and lightning racing action this Saturday at Paul and Kathy Hawes Marysville Raceway Park. The KKCY Mini and Stock Cars will also be on the program. The Extreme Bombers will bring the curtain down with a series of tasks that will include avoiding water filled canisters with only a foot or two to spare.
The raceway will honor all admission tickets to the Yuba Sutter Fair that started on Wednesday as $2 off general admission to the speedway. Just give the person in the ticket booth your Yuba Sutter Fair ticket stub. One discount person per ticket.
Yuba City’s Mark hill will continue his season long battle for the championship with Sacramento’s Pat Russum. The alcohol burning sprinters will present a complete program. Yuba City’s Heather Bartlett and Phillip Shelby will renew their heated rivalry in the KKCY Country 103 Cup Stock Cars. It’s not to a boiling point yet, but we’re at “serious sizzle” right now as the season winds down.
Lisa Shelby will take a significant lead into the KKCY Mini Stock portion of the show. Recent disqualifications have put her back on top after her own disqualification early on this year. Robert Luster of Marysville will try to repeat his feat of a couple of weeks ago when he won the action packed feature event.
It was also announced that Gordon Dahlman from Yuba City and Thomas Wood from Marysville
were the winners of the sprint car rides with national champion drivrer Jimmy Sills. The rides will take place on August 25 when Sills will be on the grounds with his 2 seat sprint car.
The front gates of Marysville Raceway Park will open at 5 PM, racing starts at 7 PM.
