Stanbrough Goes Three For Three In KISS With
Lawrenceburg Win

May 28, 2007 –- The reigning King of Indiana, Jon Stanbrough captured
his third KISS Series feature victory of the year, leading all but the first
five laps at Lawrenceburg Speedway on Saturday. With the win, Stanbrough
extended his point lead to 35 over Brady Short, who finished third, behind Mat
Neely.
After claiming his heat race, A.J. Anderson was the early leader of the 30-lap
main event, before Stanbrough took over in the Fox Brothers’ DRC. Anderson
held on for fourth place, with Shane Hollingsworth finishing fifth. Heat races
were claimed by Neely, Stanbrough, Cole Whitt and Anderson. Sammy Imel won the
C-Main and Joss Moffat took the B-Main.
Heading into the next KISS race, at Bloomington on June 15, Stanbrough tops the
KISS standings with 390 points, followed by Short (355), Hollingsworth (328) and
Neely (235).

Bloomington Speedway kicks off a KISS weekend on Friday, June 15, followed by
the fifth and sixth rounds at Lincoln Park and Kokomo Speedways the next two
nights. Ticket prices at KISS races are $15 general admission and $30 pit
passes.
All KISS races follow the rules of the host track. Teams need to check with the
specific track to answer questions regarding track rules. The 2007 KISS race
payoff include $2,500 to win and $250 to start the main event. Sponsorship from
Indiana Stone Works has boosted the B-Main starting money to $100 for drivers
not transferring to the A feature. The point fund pays $1,400 to the champion,
$1,000 for second place, followed by $700 (third), $600 (fourth) and $500
(fifth). The 2007 titlist will also receive a special King of Indiana Sprint
Series champion’s helmet sponsored by Sprint Car & Midget Magazine and
Simpson Performance Products, with a unique KISS design by RockStar Paint.
