Odessa, MO (October 1, 2007) – Drivers planning to compete at I-70 Speedway during the “October Series” can practice on the 3/8 mile, D shaped oval this Wednesday night. Wednesdays practice will be open to all classes of cars and will begin at 4:00 pm and run until dark. Admission price for the practice is $10.00, for anyone entering the pit or restricted area, Grandstand admission is Free.
Saturday night October 6th will be the first night of the “October Series”, which will run every Saturday through out the month of October. This Saturday Night fill feature the I-70 Speedway Sprint Cars, Stock Cars and SportMods / B-Mods. Rules for the Sprint Cars are simple; 1) Full size Sprint Car and 2) No wings. Rules for the Stock Cars and SportMod / B-Mod will be area track rules, such as; CMS, Valley, etc. Drivers competing in the Stock Car and SportMod / B-Mod class must bring a copy of their home track rules for pre and post race inspections.
On Saturday, Pit Gates will open at 3:00 pm; Admission Gates will open at 4:00. Driver registration will close and Hot Laps will begin at 4:30. Racing will start at 5:15 pm. Admission prices for adults will be $8.00; Children 6 to 11 will be $5.00. Children 5 and under will be admitted for free. Pit Passes will be $20.00 and there will be no entry fee to compete. Persons being admitted to the pit area must be 14 years old or older and persons under 21 must have a parent present to complete a “Minors Waiver and Release form”.
Sprint Car Purse will be: 1) 500.00, 2) 400.00, 3) 300.00, 4) 200.00, 5) 180.00, 6) 120.00, 7) 110.00, 8) 100.00, 9) 90.00, 10) 80.00, 11) on out 75.00
Stock Car and SportMod / B-Mod Purses based on 15 or more entries will be: 1) 250.00, 2) 175.00, 3) 110.00, 4) 105.00, 5) 100.00, 6) 90.00, 7) 80.00, 8) 70.00, 9) 60.00, 10) 50.00, 11) 40.00, 12) on out 30.00
TT Bikes return to I-70 on Sunday, October 7th. Classes will include: Pro-Am, Open A, Open B, Open C, Open 2 stroke / 4 stroke, Sportsman, 200cc/350cc and 90cc. Entry Fee for the Pro-Am class will be $35.00 with an 80% payback for the top 3 spots. Entry Fee for the Open A class will be $35.00 with an 80% payback for the top 3 spots. Entry Fee for the Open B class will be $25.00 with a 60% payback for the top 3 spots. Entry Fee for all other classes will be $25.00. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 spots in each class. Admission to the pit area will be $10.00 per person, regardless of age. Grandstand admission tickets will be $5.00 with children 5 and under admitted for free.
Registration and Pit Gates will open at 10:30 am; Admission Gates open at 12:30 pm. Registration will close at 12:30 pm; Practice starts at 1:00 pm with racing at 2:00pm
