KNOXVILLE, IOWA (January 9, 2007) - The National Sprint Car
Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the names of its twelve inductees for 2007.
The individuals will be inducted into the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame on
Saturday afternoon, June 2nd, during the eighteenth annual ceremonies on the
Marion County Fairgrounds in Knoxville, Iowa. The inductees are:
Drivers: Shane Carson, Jerry "Scratch" Daniels, Rajo Jack, Kenny
Jacobs, Bayliss Levrett, Hal Minyard.
Owners-Mechanics-Builders-Manufacturers-Car Sponsors: Earl Gaerte, Joe
Jagersberger, Glen Niebel.
Promoters-Officials-Media Members-Event/Series Sponsors: Ken Coles, Emmett
Hahn, Bill White.
According to National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation
executive director Thomas J. Schmeh, "The 72-member National Induction
Committee has done another outstanding job of nominating and electing some of
the greatest achievers in our sport. The induction banquet will be a great time
to reflect back on the accomplishments of those veterans that have gone before
us like drivers Rajo Jack and Bayliss Levrett, builder/manufacturer Joe
Jagersberger and promoter Bill White. And then we'll have the opportunity to
honor modern era achievers such as drivers Shane Carson, Jerry
"Scratch" Daniels, Kenny Jacobs and Hal Minyard, photographer Ken
Coles, driver/promoter/sanctioning official Emmett Hahn, engine builder Earl
Gaerte and the late owner/mechanic/builder Glen Niebel. The induction banquet on
Saturday, June 2, will be a very special event for many people!"
