Information for VRA/Bandit/SCRA Sprint Car-Dwarf
Car Event
September 1-2, 2006

The following information will help you to better enjoy the upcoming two day
racing program at Ventura Raceway, set for Friday September 1 and Saturday
September 2.
Times: Pits will open Friday at 12:00 and Saturday at 11:00am. Driver's meetings
will take place at 3:00PM and we will go on to the track at 3:30 Friday and
4:00pm Saturday. Racing will tentatively get under way Friday at the conclusion
of qualifying and at 5:00 Saturday. Our track observes a 10:00pm curfew.
Forms: All competitors must completely fill out all necessary VRA entry forms
that include address, phone number and insurance information. Proper IRS forms
must also be filled out in order for any purse payment to be made after the
event. There is no charge to competitors to join VRA, the information is
necessary to send purse payments and to fill out information in case of injury
during the event.
Pit Prices: Pit admission will be $30.00 per day for members of VRA, SCRA,
Bandits, Western States Dwarf Car Drivers or drivers from other organizations
who are competing in the event. Membership cards from your regular competition
organization may be required to obtain this member price. Non-member or general
fan pit passes will be $40.00 per day. Except in special circumstances no one
under the age of 16 may be in the pits. In any event no one under the age of 14
will be allowed in the pits during the event. Minors under the age of 18 must
have both parents sign a minor release in the presence of a VRA pit gate person
or bring an original minor release form signed and notarized to the pit pass
window. Forms are available at the pit office each night of racing at Ventura
Raceway, at the raceway office or by mail. At this time our insurance carrier
will not accept faxed or photo copies of these forms.
Pets: Ventura Fairgrounds does not allow any pets to be in the pit area or
grandstands at any time during the event. Please leave your pets at home as we
will enforce these rules.
Alcohol: All drivers, crew and persons in the pits must observe the no alcohol
rules in effect prior to and during the event. Anyone who fails to follow these
rules will have their pit pass removed and be removed from the pit area. Drivers
who do not follow these rules will have their pass removed and will not be
allowed to compete in any event. No refund of any pit pass price will be given
to anyone who has their pass removed.
Pit Passes: Pit passes are the sole possession of the person who signed in for
that pass. Anyone who gives their pass to someone else will be asked to leave
the pit area and will not be allowed to purchase another pass for the duration
of the weekend.
Overnight Camping: You will be able leave rigs in the pits Saturday night and
you can stay with your pitted rigs in the pits if you wish. There will also be
some camping available in the regular parking area. There are no hookups for the
camping areas. The pits will be swept at 10:00am on Saturday morning for the
purpose of getting ready to reopen to sell pit passes for Saturday 11:00am.
Purse Payouts: The purse for each of the events of this event will be posted on
the line-up board. Checks will be mailed out to all competitors who earned a
payout the week following the event. Any competitor who failed to fill out
proper paperwork will have their check delivery delayed until such paperwork is
completed and turned in.
