KOKOMO SPRINT RACE RESCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY, MAY 25
|
May 16, 2006...The USAC Sprint Cars will face a busy slate next week following today’s announcement of the rescheduling of the rained-out May 14 race at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway for next Thursday night, May 25. A 30-lap feature is on tap at the recently refurbished 1/4-mile dirt oval.
“We are pleased that we were able to secure this date for our participants and fans,” said USAC National Sprint Car Coordinator Greg Staab. “The race organizers at Kokomo Speedway are excited, as are we, with next week’s event, which sets up a great week of racing for race fans.”
The National Sprint Cars are already slated to compete in the “Sam Pierce Chevrolet 50” Wednesday night at the Anderson (Ind.) Speedway and the famed 58th Payless “Little 500” USAC special event is scheduled for Saturday night, May 27.
“It’s a race fan’s dream week,” added Staab. “In just five days they will be able to witness the greatest drivers in the world in many forms of the sport. Every night will offer something different.’
