May 25, 2006...Assistant Promoter Don Sharp as been assigned new duties, specifically that of Race Director, according to Steve Faria, Thunderbowl’s Promoter.
The new position will allow Sharp to coordinate the running schedule of all events during the evening with the officials of the various Sanctioning Bodies that appear at the raceway.
“My goal is to insure that all the events are run in a timely and efficient fashion and that we not violate the 11:00 pm curfew imposed by The State of California Fair Commission,” Sharp stated. “We owe it to our loyal fans, and to the drivers and owners, to complete the full program as scheduled. Sharp will analyze the number of cars participating from each group participating and present the schedule during the “Pit Meeting.”
Thunderbowl’s next event is scheduled for June 24th when the Golden State Challenge “King of California” Series returns for the third time this year.
They will return again on July 21/22 for the Pombo/Sargent Classic, followed by the National Sprint Tour Outlaws on October 13/14, and the popular Trophy Cup during the weekend of November 3/4.

Reserved Grandstands seats for the GSC events only are only $18, open Bleachers seats $15. Bleacher tickets for kids 6–12 are only $7.50, (under 6 are free), available at the box office only.
Gates open at 5:00 pm, qualifying at 6:00 pm and racing begins at 7:00. Thunderbowl Raceway is located at the Tulare County Fairgrounds, corner of “K” St. and Bardsley in the heart of Tulare.
