THUNDERBOWL RACEWAY FORCED TO CANCEL APRIL 15TH DATE DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS by Dan Fleischer |

April 13, 2006...With the weatherman predicting rain on Friday and probable Thunderstorms on Saturday, Promoter Steve Faria has opted to cancel the scheduled Golden State Challenge Series event at Thunderbowl Raceway.
“We’re expecting upwards of a 1/2" of rain and the track and surrounding area will not dry in time to run or accommodate the fans. While I’m disappointed that we won’t be able to race, it wouldn’t be fair, and the expenses would be too great, for the race teams to drive the long distances to our track only to be notified at that time of the cancellation,“ Faria stated. The next scheduled GSC (and accompanying SCRA wingless sprint cars) event at Thunderbowl is slated for Saturday, April 29th. |
