Marysville, CA - Sept. 8, 2006... Promoter Greg Kearns Said today that
the 1st Annual Double Nationals, now scheduled for one night on
September 16th, will pay $2000 to win and $300 to start based
on a 25 car field for Hunt Magneto Wingless Spec Sprint Cars. Kearns will
pay $1500 to win and $200 to start for 20 to 24 cars. Kearns will pay
$1000 to win and $100 for 15 to 19 entrants. The Hunt Wingless Spec
Sprinters will enjoy the biggest potential payday all year. No one in
northern California has ever stepped up to the plate like this for this
division ever.
Kearns was confident that the big
payoff will get the best sprint car drivers in California headed to Twin
Cities Speedway. A number of drivers who regularly compete in the winged
Pacific Sprint Cars are seeking drives for this race in the wingless spec
cars. Twin Cities Speedway rules will be in effect. Twin Cities Speedway
rules are compatible with all other northern California spec sprint racing
series’. The event that was originally scheduled over two weekends will
be run on one night Saturday 9/16.
“It’s all on the line for one
night.” Kearns decided. “Let’s see what we can do for this
division.”
Kearns also said that the BCRA
Midget Lites will be added to the 9/16 show. Early season differences have
been smoothed over and California’s oldest sanctioning body is back at
Twin Cities for a full program capped by a twenty-lap feature event.
Hunt Magneto Sprint Car Champion
Charlie Marrs will head a strong contingent of fire breathing wingless
sprint car stars. Marrs swept the program on Labor Day Saturday and capped
a fine 2006 with his first sprint car title. The TCS MiniStocks, and the
Sprint 100s will be on the program with the Hunt Sprinters and the BCRA.
Spectator gates open at 5PM and racing will begin promptly at 7PM.
