Marysville, CA - April 23, 2006...
The most anticipated opening day in Marysville’s Twin
Cities Speedway’s 39 year history was washed away by rain again Saturday
night. A great crowd packed the grandstand and braved the off and on
showers that wiped out qualifying, then the race.
The Hunt Magneto Wingless Warriors, the Riebes Racing
Series Stock Cars, the TCS MiniStocks and the winged Pacific Sprint Cars
will fire off once more this Saturday. The SORA Sprint 100s will be the
hosted traveling group. The ambitious 5 division program should go as
scheduled as the weatherman predicts temperatures in the 80s by Saturday.
Gates open at 5 this Saturday night with Racing starting
promptly at 7PM. A monster field of cars and stars will be there, so be
there early. Sample some of the best Racetrack Food on the planet at
Linda’s Restaurant, just behind the grandstand.
