STEALTH SENDING THREE CARS TO PHOENIX SILVER CROWN RACE |

January 18, 2006...INDIANAPOLIS - Stealth Motorsports will send three of
its new generation Silver Crown cars to Phoenix this weekend for the 29th annual
"Copper World Classic" at Phoenix International Raceway. Four teams have already purchased the cars, with three set to challenge for the checkered flags in Sunday's 50-lapper. A fourth car will be ready to compete at the second race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Florida. Rodney Weesner (Weesner Motorsports), Wayne Reutimann Jr. (Reutimann Motorsports) and Dave Darland (RW Motorsports) will be the pilots when the weekend kicks off. Stealth is providing a quarter of the 12 expected entries for the season opener and first race for the new pavement cars. Darland (Lincoln, Ind.) is one of two former champions entered for the race. Driving for owner Steve Weirich's team for Phoenix, Darland has one been of the top drivers in Silver Crown competition over the last decade, having won the 1997 series championship and finished third in the 2004 points standings. Now, with another opportunity to compete in a new car, Darland - who will also compete in one of the first Toyota-powered Midgets at Phoenix as well as a CRA Sprint car Saturday at Manzanita Speedway - said he's ready for yet another challenge. Reutimann (Zephyrhills, Fla.) is poised for another season in Silver Crown competition with Reutimann Motorsports. The Floridian scored a Top-10 finish in last year's standings and a career-best sixth-place race finish at Phoenix. With the chance to garner larger chunks of the purse and race in front of more people, Reutimann, who will also continue to compete on the dirt, can't wait for the 2006 season to start. "Everybody wanted TV and to make more money, and we're getting both of those," Reutimann said. "I'm looking forward to running these cars next season, and additionally, will continue to run on the dirt." Weesner (Portland, Ind.), a rookie who debuted in the Silver Crown Series last season, was one of the first owners to purchase one of the new cars back in August, and if all goes well, may have more cars for Homestead. Right now, however, he's focused strictly on Phoenix. "I had looked at the series for several years and I've always wanted to run with the best," Weesner said. "The Silver Crown Series is the best of the best." Led by president Joey Martin, Stealth looks to build on its momentum recently established at the "Chili Bowl" Nationals in Tulsa, Okla. With a race best fourth-place finish by Brad Kuhn, Martin is excited now about what his company's new Silver Crown car has to offer. "We're looking forward to Phoenix," Stealth President Joey Martin said Wednesday morning. "We've got good cars and good teams ready to compete. Barring any unforeseen, I think we have a good shot garnering a podium finish." Stealth has participated in several tests, including those at Homestead and Indianapolis Raceway Park. Mat Neely, who is expected to drive the fourth Stealth at Homestead, was pleased with the car's handling in last month's test at Homestead. "This car is going to be so awesome," said Neely.
