TULSA,
Okla. (May 17, 2006)- Celebrating its 30th year in 2006, COMP Cams
has signed on as a title sponsor for the upcoming explosive O’Reilly Sprint
Bandits Tour ‘N Topless swing through the Midwest, which is set to take place
August 8-19.
“We’re
excited to be on board with Emmett Hahn and the Sprint Bandits,” commented
COMP Cams spokesman Chris Douglas.
“The Sprint Bandits COMP Cams TNT swing includes some of year’s
biggest and most prestigious ‘traditional’ Sprint Car events and showcases
those cars and drivers at some tracks and locations that only get to see them
once a year.”
The
O’Reilly Sprint Bandits TNT presented by COMP Cams kicks off with Southern
Iowa Speedway’s Non-Wing Ultimate Challenge on Tuesday night, August 8, in
Oskaloosa, IA.
The $30,000 to win event is the topless portion of Southern Iowa Sprint
Week.
Action
resumes a week later with the Second Annual Huskerland Non-Wing 410 Sprint Car
Nationals at Nebraska Raceway Park’s I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE.
The next night, Wednesday, August 16, the wingless warriors move on to
Wichita’s 81 Speedway, before moving on to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland,
MO, on August 17.
The
series wraps up with the annual two-night wingless classic at Lakeside Speedway
in Kansas City, KS, with the Saturday night, August 19, finale featuring a
$10,000 winner’s share.
