ANNUAL OVAL NATIONALS GOLF TOURNAMENT ON NOVEMBER 1ST! |

(JUNE
1, 2006, PERRIS, CA) Golf
playing Sprint Car fans, drivers, crews, sponsors and officials will have a
chance to battle it out on the fairway on November 1st at the 1st
Annual Oval Nationals Golf Classic at the Moreno Valley Golf Course in Moreno
Valley, California. The golf outing
will precede the opening night of the 11th Annual Budweiser Oval
Nationals presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply at Perris Auto Speedway
on November 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
The Oval Nationals is a full-point paying race for the USAC National and
USAC/CRA Sprint Cars tours that pays $30,000.00 to win the A main event. “The
Oval Nationals is one of the biggest races in the country. We
want to make it one the biggest happenings, too,” said promoter Don Kazarian.
“In addition to the 1st Annual Oval Nationals Golf Classic,
we have a few other tricks up our sleeves for this year that fans will love.
They are going to have a fun four or five days and they will see some
fantastic racing. Stay tuned for
more announcements.” The
Golf Tournament format will be a 4 person scramble with prizes for first, second
and third place along with the longest drive and closest to the pin shots.
And, there will be a free car given away if a player gets a hole in one
on a specified hole. “The
tournament will be a great time,” Kazarian said with a smile.
“We have a lot of fans who come out from back east and for them it may
be their last time to golf before winter. We
have a lot of drivers saying they want to play and the Oval Nationals Grand
Marshall Bubby Jones will be playing, too.
Hackers and accomplished players are all welcome to play and have fun.” The
tournament will feature an 11:00 AM shotgun start and will be followed by a
banquet dinner and awards ceremony. The
entry fee for the Golf Tournament will include an 18 hole round of golf, cart,
range balls, custom inaugural golf tournament shirt, box lunch at the course and
the banquet dinner and awards ceremony at the end of the day.
The entry fee for the tournament is $120.00.
Anyone who wishes to just attend the banquet and awards ceremony can do
so for $40.00. Any
