KAZARIAN NAMED USAC WEST COAST PROMOTER OF THE YEAR! |

When the United States Auto Club honored it’s top West Coast drivers,
car owners and teams at the Knott’s Berry Farm Resort on Saturday, January 7,
Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian was surprised and delighted when he
received the USAC Promoter of the Year award for the Western States.
A few days after winning the award, Kazarian pointed to many others for the great season The PAS had in 2005. “I have to thank the drivers, car owners, crews, officials and staff for making it easy to run an efficient and entertaining show. Without their hard work, this award would not have been possible.” Kazarian smiled and added, “I also want to thank the great sprint car fans at The PAS. Without them, we would not be in business. They are hardcore! The electricity in the air when the CRA cars bump off for the main event is incredible. It is the same as you find at an NFL, NBA or Major League Baseball game.” Upon
returning to his Indianapolis office, United States Auto Club President/CEO
Rollie Helmling had a lot of praise for Kazarian.
“It
is very fitting that Don Kazarian, his staff and Perris Auto Speedway be
recognized by the United States Auto Club. The PAS under Don’s leadership has
been instrumental in the growth of Sprint Car Racing in the United States by
presenting high quality, exciting and competitive Sprint Car Races which racers
enjoy and fans appreciate. USAC is privileged to be able to sanction many races
at the PAS and the success and growth of the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series is in
part due to first class events always presented there.”
The former USAC car owner continued, “There is a long and glorious
tradition of great Sprint Car Racing in Southern California and the racing at
the PAS insures this will continue for generations to come.”
The
2005 Promoter of the Year and his staff will throw the doors open for the 2006
season on Saturday afternoon, February 4th when Temecula Valley Pipe
& Supply presents the Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Cars on the famous half-mile
clay oval. Anyone
