BRANDON PETTY RETURNS "HOME" TO VICTORY LANE AT THE LAWRENCEBURG SPEEDWAY |

Lawrenceburg, Indiana 7/2/06...2005 Lawrenceburg Speedway Sprint Car Track Champion, Brandon Petty,
returned to Victory Lane at The Lawrenceburg Speedway on Saturday night. Petty,
who won more races at The Speedway than any other competitor in 2005, made
his second appearance in Victory Lane in the 2006 season, piloting the #26,
Tyler Pearce entry. Petty triumphed over 2003 Lawrenceburg Speedway Sprint
Car Track Champion, #21X Dickie Gaines, #77 Jason Knoke, #3X Derek Franks
and #49 Troy Link.
Gaines, who had bested Petty in heat race action, redrew the pole position
for Feature competition, with Petty drawing the outside front row.
Gaines would jump out to the early lead, but Petty would be able to
capitalize on a rare bobble of the #21X, overtaking the top spot on the
second circuit. From that point on, Petty found the lane he is famous
for, riding the rim of The Lawrenceburg Speedway to the checkers.
Petty's win in the #26 Tyler Pearce machine, marked his
second in as many nights, after having also been victorious at The Gas City
Speedway on Friday night.
Sprint Cars will return to action in back to back nights next weekend at The
Lawrenceburg Speedway. On Friday July 7th, The Speedway will host The
World Of Outlaw Sprints, with their fast and furious hammer down action.
Saturday night, the SK Construction Non-Wing Sprints will return to the
stage with their broad-sliding wheel to wheel performances. Ticket and
