| TONY BEABER CAPTURES FIRST CAREER SPRINT CAR VICTORY AT THE LAWRENCEBURG SPEEDWAY ON MAY 6th, 2006 |

May 8, 2006 –
Tony Beaber, 2005 Lawrenceburg Speedway 2nd place Sprint Car Championship
points finisher, hustled the Alan Toth owned #3T Sprint Car to victory
lane on Saturday, May 6th. This emotional win, marked the 2nd generation
driver's first career Sprint Car victory.
For the past two seasons, Beaber has been making the 4 hour one way trip each
and every weekend to The Lawrenceburg Speedway in an effort to perfect his
craft of Non-Wing Sprint Car racing. Beaber, son of the famed 410 Sprint
Car Racer,Johnny Beaber, is a native of northern Ohio, better known as
"wing country".
Beaber commented, "When I first started with this Sprint Car thing, I
thought I'd be a Wing racer. Then I figured out that I could better afford the
Non-Wing variety. So, when my car owner, Alan Toth, and I went
looking for tracks to run, we decided to try out Lawrenceburg Speedway.
After one race, I was hooked. The track staff, racers and fans there are
second to none, so that 4 hour drive to and from, are worth every minute. I am
so grateful that my first win came at a track that I consider my 'home
track', no matter how far away it is from home!"
Beaber's victory at The Lawrenceburg Speedway, was a hard earned one, with the
#3T starting in the 5th position. Kevin Briscoe, the 4th place starter,
would take the outside line to gain the early lead with young Chris Windom
following in the second position. Jamestown, Indiana's hot shoe Jon
Stabrough would claim the runner up spot on lap 5, with Beaber in hot pursuit
of the race leaders. On lap 9, Beaber would take Stanbrough on the
bottom, with his eyes set on front man, Briscoe. On lap 18, Beaber was able to
make the extreme low line work, passing Briscoe for the top spot, and never
looking back.
Sprint Car fans can enjoy the star studded cast of racers at The Lawrenceburg
Speedway each and every Saturday night, with grandstands opening at 5:00pm,
hot laps at 6:00pm and racing at 7:00pm. Learn more about The Lawrenceburg
