HANFORD, CA - July 26, 2006...Kings Speedway, one of the premier dirt racetracks in California’s Central Valley, returns to action next month, August 12 and 26, one year to the month of its shuttering under previous management.
ABI Enterprise’s Frank Dias and Scott Woodhouse have signed a long-term contract with the Kings County Fair Board and will present six events (including the dates listed above) at the Hanford facility. The opening date will feature SCRA’s 360 c.i. “Wingless Warriors” Sprint Cars, along with IMCA Modifieds. SCRA will once again headline the Aug. 26 show accompanied by Hot Stocks.
Additional dates are September 9, with SCRA and Late Models, followed by the Dirt Nationals, a two-day 360 c.i. non-winged Sprint Car extravaganza on October 6th and 7th. The popular Cotton Classic returns on October 21, featuring the top 410 c.i. winged Sprint Cars and drivers on the West Coast including the incomparable Brent Kaeding. In 2007, a full slate of 26 weekends of racing will be on tap.
