Joe Draper Racing has announced a combined effort
with Brown Motorsports for the 2006 season of racing. 18 year-old Joe Draper
of RocklinCA
will move his racing efforts to the dirt,
competing in a pair of 2002 Eagle Chassis non-wing spec sprint cars up and
down
Northern California.
An aggressive 35 race schedule with car owner
Brian Brown will allow Draper to take on Placerville Speedway, Chico,
CA’s Silver Dollar Speedway, and Twin Cities
Speedway in Marysville, CA.
Joe is coming off a successful second season racing asphalt Modifieds at All
American Speedway
in Roseville, CA.
"It’s going to be a whole different deal
making the transition from an asphalt stock car to a dirt sprint car, but with
the equipment, resources, and knowledge the Brown’s have we will be fine,”
Draper said.
Draper’s schedule will allow him to chase the
2006 John Padjen Motorsports Spec Sprint championship. His events at Twin
Cities Speedway will earn points towards the Central States Racing
Association.
“I’m super excited about the whole thing. We
have a lot on our plate, but with some good seat time we will be a contender
in no time” Draper said.
