July 25, 2006...On Saturday July 29 the Central State Racing Association
(CSRA) Wingless Spec Sprints will once again be racing at the well prepared 1/3
mile oval at Chowchilla Speedway. Veteran driver Gary Koster of
Woodland
has scored two back to back feature wins at Chowchilla and
Tracy
’s Danny Olmstead won one as well.
According to promoter Tom Sagmiller, the winner of the Spec Sprint feature on
Saturday night will be invited to pilot one of the track owned school buses
along with Ryan Sagmiller and four other “mystery guests”, who will be
competing in the fourth school bus race the track has held this season. Also
featured on the Chowchilla lineup will be the Dirt Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and
Mini Stocks.
After almost two weeks of triple digit temperatures throughout much of
California
, Saturday’s Chowchilla forecast is for a high of 96. For the fans and racers
comfort, misters are in key locations and the water truck makes frequent stops
in the pits, too.
Racing begins at
7 PM
. For more information call the track at
