April 10, 2006 –
Cory Kruseman of Ventura, Calif. holds a 26-point lead over Damion Gardner going into this Saturday night’s events at the Perris (Calif.) Speedway. Last Saturday night Kruseman ended Gardner’s incredible streak of CRA fast qualifying times at seven, but Gardner ended up taking the winner’s trophy at USA Race Park in Tucson, Ariz.
This Saturday’s program is being billed as “1040 Tax Return Night” at The PAS and Gardner will try to slice into Kruseman’s lead in the 30-lap feature on the 1/2-mile dirt oval.
Kruseman finished third at Tucson behind Gardner and Charles Davis Jr. Davis grabbed the lead from Mike Spencer on the second lap but relinquished it to Gardner on lap 23. Tony Jones and David Cardey completed the “top-five” on the 3/8-mile dirt oval.
Both Kruseman and Gardner have a victory and a pair of seconds at Perris already this season.
