Wild and exciting Sprint Car action will headline the racing, when the exotic
fire breathing, alcohol burning Sprints of the Central Florida Wingless Sprint
series return to the lightning fast 3/8 mile paved oval at the Citrus County
Fairgrounds in Inverness Florida on Saturday Sept. 2 for the Jackie Gordon
Memorial Race.
Earlier this season it was Keith Butler taking the win, Butler is expected to
return to defend his win, the event is expected to bring out many top stars to
include current series points leader Scott Adema as well as top point getters
Jimmy Alvis, Rusty Dixon, Daryl Smith and Dennis Misuraca.
Shane Butler, Stan Butler, Troy Decaire and dirt specialist Roland Johnson
have all expressed interest in competeing in the event. 2004 series Champ Curtis
Carter will make his 2006 season debut in a brand new car.
In addition to the Sprints, the racing program will feature a 50 lap Limited
Sportsman main along with Modifieds, Mini Stocks, Thunder Stocks and 4
cylinders.
