April 1, 2006...Steven Darvalics in the Gautier Fabrication #32 lead the 17 car field to the
green at Charlotte County Speedway on Saturday night in Central Florida
Wingless Sprint action, however Daryl Smith in the Buddys Home Furnishings #40
would take the top spot coming out of turn 2 and lead for the first 2 laps
before Joey "The Ace" Aguilar in the Dorothy and Don Vinson owned
#52 claimed the top spot on lap 3, Aguilar would then have to hold off all the
challenges of Jimmy Alvis in the #21 to claim the win and the $1200 pay check,
Aguilar was up to all the challenges and cruised home the winner.
A jubilant
Aguilar in victory lane was quick to thank his car owners for everything they
have done to bring him back into racing. Alvis would hang on for second
only to be DQ'd for not going to tech, moving Scott Adema in the Tommy Rice
owned, Old Castle precast #67 up to second, Daryl Smith would come home third
followed by Rusty Dixon in the Carla Rudolph #48 and Steven Darvalics rounding
out the top 5.
Heat wins went to Aguilar and Adema. The nights bonus of
$850 went to Scott Rocchio who finished in luck spot 13.The Central Florida
Wingless Sprints return to Charlotte County on April 22.
