November 20, 2005...Travis Bleimiester led the 22 car field to the
initial green for the start of the final race of the season for the Central
Florida Wingless Sprints on Saturday night at Charlotte County Speedway, but it
was point title contender Charlie Ladner who led the first lap of the race as
Ladner shot by Bleimeister in turn 1 and looked like he would cruise to the
victory however Scotty Adema who started back in 7th spot was on a mission and
reeled Ladner in to take over the top spot on lap 9. Adema would pretty much
have it his way the rest of the race and would take the win in his Motor City
Transport/Old Castle Precast #67.
The race would be red flagged on lap 19 when Troy Decaire barrel rolled his
#41 in turn 1, destroying the car. Decaire would later in the evening be taken
to the hospital for observation, more details as they become available. Ladner
would hang on for second in the event, clinching the Championship for himself
and car owner Mac Steele, Gary Gimmler in the Constructive Solutions #99K would
come home third followed by Mark Gimmler in the Constructive Solutions #51 and
Daryl Smith in the Buddys Home Furnishings #40, Smith would claim the $100 bonus
sponsored by Constructive Solutions for the 5th place finisher. Rounding out the
top 10 was Keith Butler #18, Shane Butler #1, Dave Oblinger #2, Danny Martin Jr.
#00 and Travis Bleimieister #3.
Heat wins went to Gary Gimmler, Keith Butler and Scotty Adema. Special Thanks
to Constructive Solutions for the Bonus Money.
