Ventura Raceway's VRA Sprint
Cars return to action this Saturday night April 2, with a full program of racing
that includes VRA Pony Stocks,VRA Dwarf Cars and NMRA TQ Midgets.
Last week 33 VRA Sprint Cars were on hand along with 22 VRA Senior Sprint Cars
for a total of 55 sprint cars in the pits. This week we expect over 35 regular
VRA 360 sprinters to be on hand to continue our 2005 season.
Point's leader Blake Miller will be going for his second win this year. He will
be challenged by Chris Wakim, Kevin Kierce, Steve Conrad, Luis Espinoza, Rob
Kershaw and all the rest of the VRA drivers.
Pits open at 1:00pm with front gates opening at 4:00pm.
Racing gets under way at 5:00pm. Last week the 30 lap sprint feature went
green-white-checker in just under seven minutes, with 2004 series champion Tom
Stansberry taking his first win of 2005.
Additionally, we have added April 9, to our schedule to make up our opening
night rainout. On that night, VRA sprints, VRA Pony Stocks, VRA Modifieds and
Dwarf Cars will be racing a full program. Please add that night to your VRA
schedules.
