Marysville, CA - August 31, 2005...Promoters Greg and Linda Kearns will
host the First Annual Fan Appreciation Night. Tickets are just $5 (half price)
for general admission AND…it’s the most important race of the year! $1 hot
dogs, $1 soft drinks and $2 beer are also offered all night long. The Riebes
Racing Series Stock Cars and Pacific Sprint Cars will return to TCS, as will the
Hunt Magneto Speedway Sprint Cars and the TCS Mini Stocks for Riebes
Championship Night this Saturday. Three of the four divisions have championships
on the line.
Regarding Fan Appreciation
Night Kearns said, “It’s a thank you to the community that has made our
season so successful. I thought if we could get everyone that has an interest in
a good time to get to our house this week it will be a blast. We’ll make this
an annual event. We’ll always have it on an important race night like
Saturday’s Championship Night. Just wait until next year.”
Kearns was referring to the
emphasis on local racing (and racers) that will be the key to next year’s
scheduling. Look for fewer hosted divisions and more Riebes Racing Series Stock
Car and Mini Stocks on the schedule. The Riebes Racing Series Pacific Sprints
and the Hunt Magneto Speedway Sprint Cars will also return in 2006. The fans
have been enthusiastic about the possibility of Modified and Late Model events
being offered next season. The four primary divisions will carry the weight of
the schedule as always with more events and a post-season stock car open
competition event being considered.
Kearns added,“We’re going
to get back to the roots of where auto racing in this area started. The fans are
showing a lot of interest in our two stock car series this year. Those two
divisions have had the largest car counts consistently, week after week. It’s
a big difference over the last few seasons. Stock Car Racing is back…and
it’s back big.”
In addition to the Championship
Night format this Saturday Kearns has added the first Powder Puff stock car race
to be staged at the venerable facility. Wives, sisters, mothers, aunts and even
promoter Linda Kearns herself will be behind the wheels of Riebes Racing Series
Stock Cars.
