December 14, 2005...Winter racing starts on December 31st and January 1st at USA Racepark in Tucson, Arizona with the second annual Roger McCluskey Classic, with Johnny Herrera from Albuquerque, New Mexico leading the points chase to Tucson for the Sprint Car Racing League. Rick Ziehl from Las Cruces, New Mexico trailing Herrera by seven points and Ron Clark a close third in points, from Tucson, Arizona driving the Joe Morales, O'Rielly Chevrolet Sprinter will also enter the Arizona New Years Classic!
Indiana's hired gun, Tony Elliott has entered the chase driving the Dave
Burns, Hal Burns Truck and Equipment sprinter from Santa Fe New Mexico. Long
haul award so far goes to Sean Walten driving the Walten Motor Sport
Sprinter, entering the event from Bentonville, Arkansas. Josh Pelky from
Phoenix, Arizona has also enter the race in the Total Seal sprinter, last
years winner!
