December 11, 2005...Sprint Car Racing League Race Coordinator Hal Burns, is currently negotiating
race dates in the Southeastern portion of the United States starting Febuary
9th and 10th. Burns plans on taking the SCRL non-winged sanction events down
I-10 west from Georgia and ending up on the west coast by late Febuary.
Burns has taken the Southwest Sprint Car Series to Hawaii twice in the last three
years.
The SCRL events will pay $5000 to win and $400 to start the feature. The
unique engine formula SCRL uses also allows 410 engines to run with 360
engines because of their injector insert that is required for all engines
larger than 360 cubic inches. " The insert that we provide for those
race cars running larger engines, such as the 410's, has made our series very
competitive between the two engine sizes, with only one 410 win in the last
three years." says Burns.
Burns is currently in negotiations with several tracks starting in Georgia,
Florida, Alabama, Texas, Arizona, and California. Hawaii Motor Speedway in Eva
Beach, Hawaii may be the final destination for the top 10 in this short mini
Series from Coast to Coast.
Interested tracks or participants can contact SCRL at (520) 471-2920, or
by E-mail at halburns1@aol.com. Other
scheduled events are being negotiated for other Southeast and Southwest events
later in the season.
