| Murphy takes checkers in a Thrilla at Chowchilla! |

(9/25/2005 Fresno, CA) The Awesome Aussie Peter Murphy battled
with hard charging Chad Boespflug to take the checkers last night at
Chowchilla Speedway. Murphy set the pace for the evening by setting
quick time in qualifying. Starting 6th in the first heat the Tarlton
& Sons/Sharp Insurance/Elite Landscaping #21 Maxim would finish 3rd and
get set for the dash. Murphy however would not take make it to the green
as the car surged and hit the wall causing rear-end damage.
The crew would make repairs and send Murphy out to start 6th in the Feature.
Within the early laps Murphy found himself taking the point with Boespflug
coming up behind. In the closing the laps would battle but Murphy would
take the point and the checkers.
"Whew this felt great." said Murphy. "We put on a
good show for the fans and came out of here with the win. Chad gave us a
good battle at the end and he raced me clean. We had a bit of an
incident in the dash but the guys buckled down and got it repaired and the car
was just as we came off the trailer. Hopefully before season's end we
can visit victory lane a few more times. No worries."
