(9/12/2005 Fresno, Ca) Fresh off taking the Bandit/VRA Grand Slam points
championship the Awesome Aussie returned to action this past Saturday night
with the Bandit Sprint series. Peter Murphy who continues to impress in
the non wing car fielded by Tarlton & Sons #21 Maxim grabbed the runner
position at Santa Maria this past Saturday night. Murphy who is
pondering his opportunities for 2006 looks at the finish as more to add to the
already impressive resume.
"This team gives me the equipment to be a contender each week."
said Murphy. "We had the lead but Greg (Porte) just had his car hooked
up. Hey when you can run in the top 5 week in and week out with these
guys you have accomplished a lot. We have quite a few things going
forward for 2006 but right now my focus is winning races this year. No
worries."
