(JANUARY 19, 2005, PERRIS, CA) Perris Auto Speedway promoter Don Kazarian
announced on Wednesday that he is slashing admission to $5.00 for the tracks
10th Anniversary Race on March 26th. The race will feature the Valvoline
USAC/CRA Sprint Cars - the track's most popular division.
Upon making the announcement Kazarian stated, "It is hard to believe that
this is already our tenth season. Where did the time go? We wanted to do
something special for our fans at the 10th Anniversary Race so we decided to
roll back the ticket price to $5.00 that night. It is our way of saying thank
you for ten seasons of loyal support. And, the $5.00 admission is not all,"
the promoter said with a smile. "We are going to have some great giveaways
that night as well. We will release those details within the next few
weeks."
Since its inception, sprint cars have been the tracks main attraction and 2005
will see more exciting sprint car races than ever before. "The Valvoline
USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will be here almost every other week for a total of 22
dates (includes the 3 night Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by Temecula
Valley Pipe & Supply) in 2005. We are very excited about that,"
enthused the veteran promoter. "The competition is going to be incredible
with Kruseman, Williams, Gardner, Jones, Kirby, Rutherford, Gaunt, Davis,
Spencer, Cody and more. Personally, I can't wait for the season to begin."
Not to be left out, The PAS has hefty schedules for it's other classes as well.
"Nearly every other week, when the sprint cars are not here, we will be
hosting the PASSCAR Super Stocks, Ramona Tire Street Stocks and CarQuest
Hornets," said Kazarian. "Those classes have been growing and their
schedules have been expanded to 17 races each in 2005. That is more than they
have ever had in the past. The RWD Extreme Trucks & SUV's have 13 dates, the
Pick-A-Part cruisers have 10 races, IMCA Modifieds have 8 and the Lightning
Sprint have 7. This will be our most exciting season ever."
The popular Southern California dirt track opened to a sellout crowd on the 30th
of March in 1996. J.J. Yeley won the main event at the grand opening.
This Saturday, January 22nd, The PAS will hold its 2005 Pre Season Training
Camp, which is open to all classes of racecars and free for fans. The pit gate
and the spectator gate will open at 1:00 PM.
The 10th Anniversary Perris Auto Speedway season opens in 17 days when Temecula
Valley Pipe & Supply presents the Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Cars on Saturday
afternoon, February 5th. The following Saturday, February 12th, the PASSCAR
Super Stocks, Ramona Tire Street Stocks, RWD Extreme Trucks & SUVs, CarQuest
Hornets and the Pick-A-Part Cruisers will open their 2005 campaign. Spectator
gates will open at noon each day.
Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds,
