September 22, 2005....The Central State Racing Association's Wingless
Sprints will be racing at Chowchilla Speedway this coming Saturday, September 24
for the final dual club show at Chowchilla's 1/3 mile track. The last race at
Chowchilla was an exciting one with a season high car count of twenty five
Wingless Sprints putting on a great show and CSRA's Jerry Kobza from Folsom took
the feature win.
With only two point races left for the 2005 CSRA season, the battle for the
championship will come down to the wire. The current point leader is last
year's champion, Billy Garcia from Sheldon. In second sits young Patrick
"Hot Rod" Russum from Citrus Heights, followed by Folsom's Jerry Kobza,
Chico's, Don Emery, Elk Grove's Scott Pierson, Steve Nelson from Jackson, and
Valley Springs' Larry Nelson. Watch the veteran " Woodland
Express" Gary Koster put on another awesome display of skilled racing as
well as many other veterans and new up and coming talented drivers in the CSRA.
The CSRA thanks Sierra Tow, Sierra Shower, DSR Graphics and Signs, and RJB
Engines for their support to the club this 2005 racing season. Please support
our sponsors, they help to make racing happen every week.
Along with the CSRA and NCMA Wingless Sprints, SCRA's injected 360 Sprints will
be on the card, along with the new California Slingshots, Chowchilla's Super
Mini Stocks, and Figure 8 races.
The grandstands will open at 5 PM, racing starts at 7 PM, adult tickets cost
$12.00, seniors $ 8.00, kids 6-12 $6.00, kids under 6 free. Come out for some
fun family entertainment and grass roots open wheeled racing at it's finest!
