August 18, 2005....Central State Racing Association's Wingless Sprints
take to the track again this Friday night, August 19 at Sacramento Raceway
Park's quarter mile clay oval for the 11th point race of the '05 season.
Currenly leading in the points battle is young "Hot Rod" Patrick
Russum from Citrus Heights, who is driving his father's Rods R Us Sponsored
sprinter. Defending Champion Billy Garcia from Sheldon sits just ten points
behind in second, followed closely by Chico's Don Emery, Elk Grove's Scott
Pierson, and in fifth place, Jerry Kobza from Folsom. Kobza is the feature win
leader with three wins to date this season. The last Sacramento feature race was
won by " Survivor" Tony Silvera.
The CSRA Wingless Sprint teams continue to promote the club, their sponsors and
racing by displaying their cars at every opportunity. This past Tuesday evening
at Roseville's Cruise Night, rookie driver Rich Crumley from Roseville displayed
his beautiful car at the CSRA booth and reported that there were lots of kids
sitting in the car and a good time was had by all.
The CSRA greatly appreciates the support of Rasco Sign and Design, Sierra Tow,
Sierra Shower, and RJB Engine Development as sponsors for the 2005 racing
season.
