Wingless Sprints Doubleheader Weekend |

JULY 12, 2005 - Racing action heats up as the CSRA Wingless Sprints hold
their 6th and 7th season point races this weekend, at Sacramento Raceway Park on
Friday July 15 followed by a back to back race on Saturday July 16 at Chowchilla
Speedway. Going into this weekend, Chico's Don Emery currently leads the point battle followed closely by Scott Pierson of Elk Grove and Patrick "Hot Rod" Russum who are currently tied in points. Defending Champion Billy Garcia who was the last race feature winner and Steve Nelson round out the top five. The CSRA teams welcome back popular and well respected veteran drivers Gary Koster of Woodland and West Sacramento's Phil Peddlar, after both had taken some time off from racing. Come out and watch as these talented wingless warriors compete for some exciting open wheeled racing and fun family entertainment. Sacramento Raceway Park's 1/4 mile oval track is located on Excelsior Drive in Sacramento. Admission is $10.00 for adults , kids are free, racing starts at 7PM and will also feature a 50-50 raffle. Chowchilla Speedway is a 1/3 oval clay track located at the Chowchilla Fairgrounds, and will also feature a figure 8 race. For more information contact Richard Basden at (209) 794-0801. |
