JUNE 27 2005....On Friday, July 1 at Sacramento Raceway, the Central
State Racing Association (CSRA) Wingless Sprints will be having an Alumni Celebration Race. The CSRA was the sanctioning body in the late 50's, 60's and 70's at West Capital Speedway, Roseville, Auburn, Placerville, and Grass Valley, racing the Hardtops, Modifieds, and Limited Modifieds divisions. We are still learning the multifaceted history of the club's origins, but want to honor and pay respect to the men and women who paved the way 50 years ago for today's racers. Many of the big names in racing are still active today, and many of them also shared their roots with the BCRA Midgets. The BCRA Midget Lites and the Vintage Midgets will also be racing at Sacramento Raceway on July 1. Discount coupons for CSRA Alumni for this special race can be obtained from Richard or Diane Basden. The coupons will be for a $5.00 discount off the regular $10.00 admission price, a free program, and $4.00 off CSRA tee shirts.
