MARCH 22, 2005....The Central State Racing Association's Wingless Sprints
will head to the Central Valley track in Chowchilla for the opening race of
their third season on Saturday, March 26. Chowchilla Speedway is a medium banked
1/3 mile track that has hosted some exciting Sprint Car racing, the last being
the annual Open Wheel Roundup in November.
Saturday's race will mark the first of six appearances at Chowchilla Speedway,
where the CSRA Wingless Sprints will be racing with another Sprint club as well.
Advertised as a dual club show to increase the Wingless Sprint car counts, it
may also prove to be a duel of CSRA's talented teams vs. NCMA's drivers.
Some of the CSRA's talented roster consists of 2004 season Champion Billy
Garcia, 2004 season Rookie of the Year Mike Enos, the Emery family teams, Larry
and Steve Nelson, Josh Jacobo, rookie driver Patrick Russom, and veteran drivers
Sam Fries, Bobby Bankson, Jack Clark, Scott Pierson, Gary Koster, and Keith
Shipherd.
The CSRA appreciates the support of RasCo Sign and Design, Sierra Shower,
Sierra Tow, and RJB Engine Development as club sponsors for the 2005 season.
The Saturday night program will also feature the new SCRA 360 Injected Wingless
Sprints, an Easter egg hunt, the Easter Bunny, and kid's bike races, so look for
lots of action as the CSRA races at Chowchilla Speedway for their season
opener.
Races begin at 6PM, and the track phone number is (559) 665-7223.
For CSRA questions, contact CSRA President Richard Basden at (209) 794-0801.
