Re: Sprint car body rules
All participants need to be familiar with Rule 304 as it pertains to bodywork.
The dimensions and limitations for placing body panels on sprint cars are
straightforward and spelled out in detail in the USAC Rule Book. These Rules do
not provide for a gray area and must be adhered to in order to maintain the
integrity of non-wing sprint cars. In addition, sun visors are limited seven
inches and may only be used on the front of the roll cage. At certain tracks
sunlight might become an issue and tape or soft fabric may be used only during
the time the sunlight presents the problem. This exception will be at the
discretion of the Chief Steward.
All USAC/CRA Members should have their 2005 Rule Book and complete Rules are
also available online at www.usacracing.com If anyone has any questions, please
feel free to contact Owen Snyder or myself at any time.
