Bobby Graham returns to sprint car racing after long layoff
By Ken Wagner

MARCH 25, 2005...Ben Lancaster announced this week that Bobby Graham will return to racing sprint cars Saturday night at Perris Auto Speedway in the Linda and Ben Lancaster # 14. Bobby took nearly two years off to heal from a bad crash that bruised his eyes so severely that only time would heal them properly.

He took a few laps in practice a few weeks ago and is anxiously waiting for the green flag to drop on Saturday. He drove the # 14 car before, so them linking up with Lancaster again is not surprising.

The 31 year old driver from Riverside, CA owns his own trucking company. He missed racing because he has been doing it since he was eight. During his time off he learned to fly a helicopter and plans to become an instructor in the future.

Bobby came close to his first sprint car win two years ago when he led a feature at Perris in Glenn Crossno’s car, but ended up second to Mike Kirby. He plans to get that first 410 win very soon.

Bobby and wife Denise will be there early to visit with all the old friends in the pits that they have missed.
