FEBRUARY 27, 2005...The Valvoline
USAC/CRA sprint car series returns to Perris Auto Speedway this coming Saturday,
March 5th, after a rainout caused and extra two week layoff. The PAS will
feature the top west coast stars, plus a few National USAC drivers from Indiana,
battling for the win. Over 45 cars are expected to compete.
Dave Darland and Damion Gardner won the first two races, and Mike Kirby leads
the points in a tie with Charles Davis Jr.
Defending champion, 48 year old Rip Williams, will be again looking for his
100th sprint car win on Saturday night. Cory Kruseman, who drove for Tony
Stewart Racing the last two seasons, will be looking for his 6th CRA win and
69th overall on the west coast.
The club will travel to Bakersfield Speedway on March 12 for the 4th race and
then to Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Az the following weekend for the Sokola
Classic, a two day event on March 18 and 19.
