Speedway Cancels Program for Thursday, June 23rd. |

The California
Asphalt Sprintcar Association has learned that the Ukiah Speedway program,
specially scheduled for the Thursday night prior to the Nextel Cup event at
nearby Infineon Raceway, has been cancelled. The
unusual Thursday scheduling was intended to take advantage of some Nextel Cup
drivers being able to participate in Ukiah Speedway activities and negotiations
were on going to bring at least two Nextel stars to the track on their off time
from Nextel Cup competition. CASA
was invited to be part of this unique opportunity and regrets that the program
has been cancelled. Rescheduling of the CASA date for Ukiah Speedway is being
negotiated. |
