Muddy Conditions Cancel CASA Race at
Ukiah |

April 11,
2005...Ukiah Speedway has informed the
California Asphalt Sprintcar Association that this Saturday’s April 16th
racing calendar has been cancelled due to an excessively muddy infield, pit area
and parking lot caused by recent heavy rains in the northern Bay Area. “Unfortunately our debut at
Ukiah Speedway will have to come another day,” said CASA President and CEO,
Scott Clough. “Apparently the soil is just too saturated to dry out by race
day and Ukiah management, as well as CASA, wants to be sure races are presented
in the safest and best manor possible.” CASA and Ukiah’s Blair Akins
will compare schedules and see if this weekend’s cancellation can be
rescheduled at a later date. |
