February
24, 2005…The California Asphalt Sprintcar
Association has an opening for an additional pit/track official for the upcoming
2005 season.
“We’re looking to add another
official to work with Race Director, Ronnie LaManna and Chief Pit Steward, Carl
Branco”, said CASA President/CEO, Scott Clough. “They don’t necessarily
need previous experience, just a good understanding of the duties, an
appreciation and interest in being involved and of course a commitment to CASA
and our mission.”
In response to the expected
increase in car count and CASA team participation, duties will include assisting
LaManna with race organization and technical inspections, and helping with
Branco’s pit organization, parking, practice and race line-ups, and
facilitating general communication between all race officials and participants.
Interested parties should be able to attend all CASA events at Altamont, Ukiah,
Madera and Carson City, and arrive at the tracks prior to the pit gate opening.
“Patience, and a friendly
nature, along with a willingness to help our competitors to make all CASA shows
run as smoothly as possible is really our only criteria,” said Marketing
Director, Glenn Hopper. “At CASA our officials primary function is to assist
all involved to make a better show. They’re here to make sure CASA races are
fair and yet enjoyable. We’re not looking for officials bent on exerting their
authority, we’re looking for those willing to further CASA’s growth by
making sure all CASA interests are being looked after. A team player that
understands what we’re trying to accomplish here.”
All interested parties should
contact CASA President/CEO, Scott Clough, or Glenn Hopper through the CASA
website: www.casaracing.com for more
information.
