LEWIS WINS AGAIN AT MADERA!
SPRINTS RETURN SATURDAY AS PART OF "VUKOVICH" TRIPLEHEADER

Michael
Lewis of Noblesville, Ind. is back atop the series standings after his 40-lap
victory Saturday night at the Madera (Calif.) Speedway. Lewis led all 40 laps in
his Western Speed Racing Team ASE/Snap-On Eagle/Wesmar.
The Western Sprint Cars return to Madera this Saturday night for the "Vukovich
Classic" USAC "tripleheader" also featuring the Western Midgets
and California Ford Focus Midgets, with three 50-lap main events slated on the
1/3-mile paved oval.
Lewis was trailed at Madera Saturday by former series champion Tony Hunt, now a
teammate to Lewis, Bryan Bullard, Brad Bumgarner and former series champion Jeff
Gardner. Hunt was the fastest qualifier.
Lewis leads Hunt by only two points going into this Saturday's Madera events.
