MARCH 11, 2004 -The Bullring at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway will host
a
USAC racing "tripleheader" on April 3, featuring the Western Sprint
Cars, Western Midgets and California Ford Focus Midgets on the 3/8-mile paved
oval.
Although the Sprint and Midget car races had been released previously, the Ford
Focus event has now been added after Dave Swindell, the Kings Speedway (Hanford,
Calif.) race organizer who originally had been issued the date, agreed to
release the date for this special occasion.
The April 3 date coincides with Las Vegas Motor Speedway's NHRASummitracing.com
Drag Racing spectacular on the LVMS drag strip, giving the Bullring events
additional exposure.
A 25-lap feature is on tap for the Ford Focus Midgets, while 40-lap features are
planned for both the Sprint Cars and Midgets.
The last appearance of the USAC Sprint Cars and Midgets at the Bullring was in
2002 when NASCAR, IRL and USAC Champion Tony Stewart won both feature races.
