(SEPTEMBER 14, 2004, PERRIS, CA) Perris Auto Speedway will salute the
United States Marine Corps this Saturday night when Temecula Valley Pipe &
Supply and Vista Paint present the Budweiser Dirt Cup featuring the popular
Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Cars.
Hundreds of Marines from Camp Pendleton, Miramar, 29 Palms and San Diego will
all be attending the race as guests of Perris Auto Speedway. In addition, any
active members of the United States Marine Corps who show up on their own and
present their military id at the ticket window will be admitted free to
Saturdays event.
Don Kazarian, President of Oval Entertainment said, The Marines work hard and
the work they are doing is for the entire country. We thought it would be nice
to give them a great night out and there is no better way than with the
Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Cars. Kazarian continued, In the past we have
had Marines stationed out here who grew up with sprint car racing in other parts
of the country. They have told us how much they enjoyed the show and seeing
drivers they had only read about before. Saturday should be fun for all of the
Marines at The PAS.
Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM Saturday and the first race will begin at
7:00.
Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds,
home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los
Angeles. Take the 215 Freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go east two and
a half miles to the fairgrounds.
