(SEPTEMBER 6, 2004, PERRIS, CA) The
nations firefighters will be saluted this Saturday night when Temecula Valley
Pipe & Supply and Vista Paint present the Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Car
Series at Perris Auto Speedway. Any firefighters attending the race can show
their work id at the ticket booth and they will receive a free ticket for the
best show in sprint car racing.
Firefighters and all fans will be treated to another night of championship
racing and the dramatic three-driver dog-fight for the inaugural Valvoline USAC/CRA
crown. The top three in the standings, Yorba Lindas Rip Williams, Damion
Gardner of Concord and last Saturdays Ventura race winner, Mike Kirby of
Torrance, are only separated by 93 points as the 2004 season hits the
homestretch.
Joining the Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will be the USAC Ford Focus Midgets.
Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM Saturday and the first race will begin at
7:00.
Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds,
home of the Southern California Fair, approximately one hour east of Los
Angeles. Take the 215 Freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go east two and
a half miles to the fairgrounds.
