(JUNE 22, 2004, PERRIS,
CA) Current Oval Nationals and Tony Hulman Classic champion Cory Kruseman
will drive Andy Bondio’s potent midget when Perris Auto Speedway hosts the
USAC Western Midgets this Saturday night.
Kruseman, of Ventura, California, is currently ranked second in points in the
USAC National Sprint Car Series. The likeable 33-year old will catch a red eye
flight from Richmond, Virginia, where he will be competing with the USAC
National Series on Friday night, to make it to The PAS in time for
Saturday’s race. The veteran driver drives for former NASCAR Nextel Cup
Champion Tony Stewart in the National Sprint Car Series.
Saturday Kruseman will be driving for Andy Bondio. The two have teamed up to
win the prestigious Chili Bowl Nationals two times including 2004.
Kruseman’s last appearance at Perris Auto Speedway came two weeks ago when
he started 15th and finished second in the Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Car main
event.
Joining the USAC Western Midgets on Saturday’s card will be the PASSCAR
Super Stocks and the Art’s Concrete Pumping Extreme Trucks & SUV’s.
Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM on Saturday and the first race will be at
7:00.
Remember, the month of June is Kid’s Month at The PAS. Bring one, 100 or
1,000 kids 12 and under and they will be admitted free when they are
accompanied by an adult.
Perris Auto Speedway is conveniently located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds,
