Manzy has busy schedule in 2005 |

Phoenix, AZ (December 30) Manzanita Speedway's 2005 schedule is out and,
as they have in the past, the Arizona Sprint Cars take center stage on the
Saturday night schedule with a total of 21 shows during the year. The USAC/CRA
sprint cars have five dates plus the three day Western World Championships and
the World of Outlaws will open the regular season with a two night affair on
March 4 & 5. The Barnett Racing Series Dirt Modifieds have 17 regular outings and their two night "Nationals"; the Arizona Mini Sprint Car Association have 15 dates and the Arizona Midget Association are back on the schedule with six races. The Stock Car Racing Association with their Factory Stocks and Super Stocks are on most Friday night programs. The Supers will race 19 times and the Factory Stocks have 23 races. Bombers will be on the one third mile 25 times including two Enduro races. The first 150 lap Enduro is the "U-Pull-It" 150 on February 19th. Dwarf Cars appear on the schedule 12 times and also are part of the Dirt Modified/Dwarf Car Nationals October 7 & 8 and have their own private Nationals November 4 & 5. The ASCA Sprints will be on the half mile track at least four times. Their first scheduled half mile show is the June 18th Hank Arnold Memorial and then in the Anniversary race program on August 20. The Sprints will also be on the half mile in the Labor Day Championships September 3. They return to the big track for the October 15 Buddy Taylor Memorial. Two fifty lap races, the Arizona Race Mart Salute to Indy and the Firecracker 50 July 2 are among the major outings for the ASCA. The USAC/CRA are on the card January 29th and with the Copper World running at P.I.R. many of the USAC national stars are expected to join the west coast and local drivers in the first major test of the year. The Sokola Classic runs during the IRL weekend at P.I.R. and the big purse for the two night affair, March 18 & 19 may again have some of the Midwest drivers in the field. On May 7 the return to Manzy's half mile track and again on May 7 and then again in the Hall of Fame Vintage Classic September 24. Their biggest race of the year is the November 10-12 Western World Championships when they share the billing with the Arizona Sprints. The Barnett Dirt Modifieds will test the half mile track four times in addition to the two night Nationals. Their first journey onto the big track will be April 9. Other dates are May 21, July 16 and September 17. Over half of the Super Stock races will be contested on the half mile track. Those dates are 3/6, 4/8, 4/30. 6/25, 7/9, 7/30, 8/27, 9/10, 9/30 and 10/1.
