KRUSEMAN, GARDNER TAKE SKAGIT CRA

Cory Kruseman and Damion Gardner scored Valvoline USAC/CRA
Sprint Car wins Friday and Saturday nights as USAC dirt-track sprint racing
debuted in the state of Washington.
Kruseman, of Ventura, Calif., won Friday night's 30-lapper at Skagit Speedway in
Alger, Wash., leading the final 18 laps in his La Villa Restaurant/Agromin
Stinger/Priestley. He was trailed by Jordan Hermansader, Danny Sheridan, Jason
Statler and Peter Murphy. Hermansader led the first 12 laps.
Gardner, of Concord, Calif., led all 40 laps of Saturday night's race at Skagit
in his Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply/Arizona Race Mart John Boy/Shaver.
Series point leader Rip Williams finished second ahead of Mike Kirby, Statler
and Bobby Cody.
Williams' second and seventh-place finishes left him with a 26-point lead over
Gardner, who finished 10th in Friday's main event.
The Valvoline USAC/CRA Sprint Cars now gear up for an August 14 event at Kings
Speedway in Hanford, Calif.. A 30-lap feature is on tap at the 3/8-mile dirt
oval.
