MIKE KIRBY JOINS ALEXANDER MOTORSPORTS FOR 2005 |

TORRANCE, CA - DECEMBER 27, 2004 - Mike Kirby has signed on with Alexander Motorsports for 2005. The new combination is looking forward to the upcoming season and challenge for the USAC/CRA Championship. Both Kirby and the Alexander Team enjoyed success in 2004. Kirby won 9 features (7 USAC/CRA, 1 SCRA, 1 VRA) for car owners Glenn & Carol Crossno in 2004. The first victory came at inaugural USAC/CRA event at Perris Auto Speedway on March 6th. Mike finished 3rd overall in the USAC/CRA points standings. The Mark Alexander #4 car visited victory circle 5 times (4 USAC/CRA, 1 SCRA) last season with Cory Kruseman at the helm. One of the team's highlights came at Skagit Speedway's preliminary night, where the team had a 1-2 finish. Cory won the feature and teammate Jordan Hermansader scored second. Alexander would finish 4th in USAC/CRA entrant points. Kirby and the Alexander Team have worked together in the past. In 2001, they formed M&B Racing with Brad Geurin. They had 3 victories on the year, coming at Perris, Wichita's 81 Speedway, and the Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway. In 2003, Mike won at Perris and Manzanita in Alexander's silver #4 Stinger. The majority of last year's sponsors will return with Alexander Motorsports. Additional sponsorship is being negotiated and many opportunities still exist with the team.
